Overview of our application process

What happens when you apply to work for us? Our multi-stage process enables us to get to know each other and find out whether we are a good match.

Personalised, accessible application process

Our application process varies depending on the job profile. If you have any questions, please contact the relevant HR consultants listed in the job advertisement.

  1. Online application, no cover letter
    You’ll be e-mailed a confirmation of receipt as soon as we’ve received your application.
  2. Initial selection
    Within a maximum of ten days, you’ll either receive a rejection via e-mail or an invitation to attend an asynchronous video interview.
  3. Asynchronous video interview
    You’ll have the chance to get to know us better and answer a few questions about yourself (with video and sound, at a time to suit you).
  4. Online interview via MS Teams
    We look forward to meeting you virtually and telling you more about the vacancy.
  5. Helsana trial day (optional)
    At our site, you’ll get to know the team, try out the tasks at hand and see our lovely premises.
  6. Reference check (optional)
    If you’re going to be with us for nine months or longer, we’d like to hear what your current or former manager has to say about you.
  7. We say “yes”!
    If you’ve won us over, we’ll make you a binding, specific offer by phone.
  8. You say “yes”!
  9. Once you’ve accepted, we’ll draw up the contract. You’ll receive this by post about a week later: we look forward to working with you!
  10. Your first day of work
    Before you start, we’ll tell you all the key information for your first day of work.

    Together, we’ll discuss the results of the online personality test you completed ahead of this meeting. We’ll also answer any remaining questions you have.
  5. Documentation
    You’ll send HR current documentation from the criminal register and debt enforcement register (no more than three months old).
  6. Reference check
    We’d like to hear what your current or former manager has to say about you.
  7. We say “yes”!
    If you’ve won us over, we’ll make you a binding, specific offer by phone.

  1. Online application without a letter of motivation
    You will receive a confirmation of receipt by e-mail as soon as we have received your application.
  2. First selection
    After ten working days at the latest, you will either receive a rejection by e-mail or an invitation to a delayed video interview.
  3. Time-delayed video interview
    You will have the opportunity to get to know us better and answer a few questions about yourself and your career choice (with video and audio - at your preferred time).
  4. Participation in the application day
    If you were able to convince us, we will invite you together with other apprenticeship applicants. You will get to know the people responsible for vocational training on site and complete a number of tasks.
  5. Personal interview (live)
    If there is still a mutual fit, we get to know each other even better in a personal interview (1:1). The aim is to discuss the requirements and expectations of both parties in detail and clarify any unanswered questions.
  6. Optional: Obtaining references
    If you have any questions about your level of knowledge and/or your potential, we will be happy to clarify these with your teacher.
  7. We say yes!
    If you have convinced us, we will make you a binding, concrete apprenticeship offer by telephone.
  8. You say yes!
    Once you have accepted, we will draw up the apprenticeship contract and invite you and your parents to our site to sign it.
  9. Start of apprenticeship
    In mid-June, you will receive an invitation to start your apprenticeship (1st day on the job) and the three-day basic course for apprentices in Bellinzona.
  10. Onboarding
    In the first few weeks, you will be made ‘fit for the apprenticeship and Helsana’ with training sessions in the workplace, face-to-face courses, webinars and e-learning.

Sometimes getting to know each other starts the other way around: for some positions, we reach out to you! That’s what happened with Anton, for example. He’s been working with us as a Cyber Security Analyst since 1 January 2022.

You can upload your documents under “Speculative application”. Tell us about the area you are interested in, what your strengths are and what makes you a good fit for Helsana.

Log into the application tool using your profile and click on “Job applications”. Here, you can see all your applications, sorted by status (draft, live, withdrawn, etc.).

Click on “Forgotten password” on the login page of the application tool and follow the instructions there. If you have forgotten your username, send a message to our HR Consulting team at karriere.leben@helsana.ch.

We will use your data solely for the recruiting purposes. Only those people who are involved in the recruitment process will have access to your data.

Data protection

In accordance with the Data Protection Act, your profile will be automatically deleted after two years of inactivity. You also have the option of deleting it yourself.
