One-year post-secondary school internships

Are you motivated and eager to put your school learning into practice and develop your skills? Then Helsana is the perfect place for you.

Your entry point into the Swiss healthcare system

Are you looking to embark on a degree at a university of applied sciences or are you about to gain your federal VET diploma in business administration plus federal vocational baccalaureate? Or will you shortly be completing an apprenticeship leading to a VET diploma in IT (application development)? If so, you have come to the right place. We offer a varied and challenging one-year internship programme.

It is aimed at school leavers from upper-secondary level schools specialising in business or in information technology as part of a school-based VET programme, or from academic upper-secondary schools.

You do not need any pre-existing knowledge of the healthcare system. We expect you to demonstrate open-mindedness, a sense of personal initiative, team spirit and a thirst for learning.

The internship starts with the multi-day basic training that all of our new employees undertake. Here, you will learn the essentials of the insurance industry. During the internship, you will have the opportunity to play your part in shaping the future of the Swiss healthcare system, be that by taking part in customer consultations or by helping to organise and run events.

Full details of our requirements can be found in our internship ads.
