Ronny Bächtold appointed to Executive Board of the Helsana Group

The Board of Directors of the Helsana Group has appointed Ronny Bächtold (55) to the Executive Board with effect from 1 June 2021. Bächtold had already been managing the “Finance & Insurance” business division in its current form on an interim basis since Roman Sonderegger was named the new CEO. As part of the reorganisation of the Helsana Group, the division is being restructured and expanded under Bächtold’s leadership. It will be renamed “Finance & Corporate Management” to reflect the wider scope of responsibility.

His wealth of experience and extensive expertise in the areas of finance, insurance and strategic corporate management make him ideally suited to managing this demanding business division in its new form. Bächtold has held various management roles within the Helsana Group since 2001 and has also served as deputy CFO since 2010. Prior to joining the Helsana Group, he worked for a number of fiduciary companies and Swiss banks. The Schaffhausen native holds seats on various boards. He completed his basic commercial apprenticeship and training in the fiduciary sector, before training as a qualified business economist (School of Economics). In 2016, he attended the Executive Development Programme of the International Federation of Health Plans (iFHP). Ronny Bächtold is married with two grown-up children.
