At today’s General Meeting of the Helsana Group, Dr Nina Arquint, Dr Lorenz Hirt and Prof. Sita Mazumder were appointed to the Board of Directors. With the appointment of these new members, Helsana faces future challenges, as they bring with them extensive expertise in the areas of risk management, compliance and digitalisation.

At today’s General Meeting of the Helsana Group, the shareholders elected Dr Nina Arquint, Dr Lorenz Hirt and Prof. Sita Mazumder to the Board of Directors to succeed Dr Jürg Dommer, Michela Ferrari-Testa, Dr Christiane Roth-Godat and Reto Stump.
The three new members will strengthen the strategic supervisory body’s competencies in the areas of risk management, compliance and digitalisation. Chairman of the Board of Directors Prof. Thomas D. Szucs is delighted with the election of Nina Arquint, Lorenz Hirt and Sita Mazumder: “With their wide-ranging skillsets, these three new members will help prepare Helsana to face the challenges of an increasingly complex and tightly regulated healthcare system.”

Dr Nina Arquint joined Swiss Re’s Group Risk Management unit in 2015 and was appointed Chief Risk Officer Corporate Solutions in 2019. She has campaigned for a number of years for greater sustainability in the insurance industry. Prior to joining Swiss Re, the 44-year-old held a number of different positions at FINMA, latterly as a member of the Executive Board. Dr Arquint completed her doctoral studies at the Faculty of Law at the University of Bern.
Dr Lorenz Hirt has worked for the law firm and business consultancy Emmenegger Hirt since 2001, becoming a partner in 2007. He holds various mandates in national trade associations, is a member of the Managing Director’s Committee of economiesuisse and, since 2019, a member of the Foundation Board of Fondation Sana, where he previously spent 15 years as managing director. The 48-year-old completed his doctoral studies at the University of Bern. He was admitted to the Bar in Bern in 2000.
Prof. Sita Mazumder has been a professor of information technology and business at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts since 2005 and runs her own consulting firm. The 52-year-old sits on the Boards of Directors and Supervisory Boards of various organisations, including Clientis AG since 2017, and is a member of the Swiss Federal Electricity Commission. She studied computational science and engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich and business administration at the University of Zurich. In 2002, she received the University of Zurich’s annual award for excellent scholarship for her thesis.
