If you already have COMPLETA, you can extend your insurance cover with COMPLETA PLUS. You will receive supplementary cost contributions for prevention, spectacles, complementary medicine, health promotion and more.
With COMPLETA PLUS supplementary insurance, you receive the statutory benefits covered by basic insurance and COMPLETA supplementary outpatient insurance, plus the following additional benefits:
You receive 90% of the costs, up to a maximum of CHF 200 per calendar year, that exceed the COMPLETA benefits for spectacle lenses, frames and contact lenses. You receive 100% of the costs, up to a maximum of CHF 500 per eye and calendar year, for laser vision correction.
What does your basic insurance cover?
Children and young people up to the age of 18 receive CHF 180 per year for their spectacle lenses or contact lenses.
For search and recovery operations in Switzerland for the purpose of a rescue or recovery, you will receive a maximum of CHF 30,000 per claim.
What does your basic insurance cover?
It does not cover the costs for search and recovery operations in Switzerland.
You receive 75% of costs that exceed the benefits under COMPLETA, up to CHF 200 per calendar year, for health-promoting fitness offers such as weight and endurance training in a gym (gym membership) and many other courses (aqua fitness, gymnastics, first aid, etc.). You also receive 75% of the costs, up to a maximum of CHF 100, for baby and children’s swimming lessons.
For medically prescribed outpatient treatment abroad, you receive – in addition to the benefits provided under COMPLETA – 90% of the costs, up to a maximum of CHF 1,000 per calendar year. This excludes complementary medicine and dental treatments, laser vision corrections, preventive medical care and health promotion.
COMPLETA PLUS offers you even more benefits for your health. Our overview shows you what is covered by COMPLETA supplementary insurance as well as the additional benefits offered by COMPLETA PLUS.
All benefit entitlements relate to a calendar year unless otherwise specified.
Supplementary outpatient insurance – also referred to as supplementary health insurance – rounds out your basic insurance and closes key gaps in coverage. It covers the cost of complementary medicine treatments, as well as fitness courses and subscriptions, preventive medical care and targeted treatment abroad.
COMPLETA PLUS extends the scope of cover of COMPLETA. Supplementary insurance is worth it if benefits relating to health promotion, complementary medicine, prevention and visual aids are important to you.
You can take out this insurance if you reside in Switzerland (official place of residence) and already have COMPLETA supplementary insurance or you apply for the latter at the same time as COMPLETA PLUS.
The minimum term is one year. The contract is automatically renewed each year on the expiry date for a further year.
You can terminate the insurance on 31 December of each year and switch to another health insurance company in Switzerland. Three months’ notice of cancellation must be given. Notice of cancellation must reach us by no later than the last working day in September. If the insurance premium changes, a one-month notice period applies. In this case, notice of cancellation must reach us by no later than the last working day in November.
A waiting period is the time (from the start of the contract) during which you are not yet entitled to claim insurance benefits. The length of the waiting period can vary depending on the insurance benefit.
For laser vision correction benefits, there is a waiting period of twelve months. That means you cannot claim these benefits before the end of the first insurance year.
